William Liu
Learn From Challenges
I am William, and I’m a senior at Princeton High School. My academic passion is in math, and I want to study applied mathematics in college. I used to play a lot of math 24 games with my dad when I was young, and I was selected to represent my school for a math 24 competition in third grade. I have also been travelling across the US for different math competitions, and participated in multiple researches using math modeling.
Beyond math, I also fence and play volleyball. I have been on the fencing varsity team for 4 years, while I also play volleyball for fun. I have been playing piano since the age of six, which is around 11 years now. I like those relatively slow and more modern pieces.
After sharing all these, I would like to share some fun facts about me. I am a good card game player, and I know how to play more than ten card games and board games. I actually have my own card games club at my school, where I can play cards with my friends and teach others how to play. I also like watching movies and listening to music. My favorite movies are the Lord of the ring series and the Harry Potter series. I really like this kind of fictional movie. While I don’t have a favorite artist, I like slow R&B and pop music in general. I am also a cat lover, and I had three Garfield cats before.
